- Address: Bradleys Head Road, Mosman NSW. Opened 1916. 28 hectares of steep harbourside ground.
- Hours: 9:30am-5pm September to April, 9:30am-4:30pm May to August; open 365 days a year.
- The zoo estimates a visit at about 3 hours.
- Shows included with entry: Seals for the Wild 11am and 2pm (plus 1pm in school holidays); Free Flight Birds 12pm and 3pm.
- Tickets: adult, child 4-15, concession, family; under 4 free; online about 10% cheaper than the gate; valid 12 months; cashless.
- Public ferry F2 from Circular Quay Wharf 4, about 12 minutes, normal Opal fare (not free). Private Captain Cook and Fantasea ferries leave Wharf 6.
- The Sky Safari cable car retired in 2023; its replacement is due late 2027. Bus 238 links the wharf and the Main Entrance; a free shuttle runs only in NSW school holidays.
- Visitors cannot touch or hold koalas at Taronga. The paid Koala Encounter is a few minutes beside a koala with a keeper.
- Taronga's last Asian elephants moved to Monarto Safari Park (South Australia) in 2025; the area is now Rhino Reserve.
